This market has turned into a big business over the last few years for entrepreneurs who make substantial incomes and for gamers who bring in extra incomes.
Such virtual goods have been dubbed unreal estate, and similar to real estate, the market provides many ways for people to profit. The possibilities range from a single player unloading an extra game item for some quick cash to a full-time broker who bargain hunts for accounts to sell again at a higher price.
Nearly all MMORPGs operate with in-game currencies that players need to function in the game economies, and these currencies are among the most popular items in the online game market.

World develops a taste for Cains
0 Comments | Daily Post; Liverpool (UK), Jul 23, 2010 | by Anonymous
LIVERPOOL brewer Cains is on track to hit its export targets as the world develops a taste for its beers.
The Toxteth operation set up a new export division last year with a target to send 5,000 cases – equivalent to 120,000 bottles or cans – overseas during 2010.
Cains joint managing director Sudarghara Dusanj revealed they have orders so far for 2,935 cases, with repeat deliveries and a possible US deal in the wings.
Mr Dusanj said: “If the US comes on board we will get to 5,000 cases quite quickly.”
Recent orders worth a total of 1,569 cases and eighteen 72-pint casks include a third delivery to Denmark – ironically home to Cains’ previous owner, the Danish Brewing Company – and a first export deal to Eire targeting real ale bars and supermarkets

‘Merry hell’ fear over review snub
0 Comments | Northern Echo, Jul 29, 2010 | by Lucy Richardson
FRUSTRATED householders are not being consulted in the early stages of a council review of community facilities for fear it will inflame their lack of trust.
Residents in the rundown suburb of Gresham, in Middlesbrough, have lived under the threat of demolition for five years.
Initially, 37 streets were going to be bulldozed and 1,500 terraced homes flattened to make way for new estates.
In April, the masterplan was changed to affect 773 properties – but no bricks have yet been pulled down.
Andrew Cain, principal housing regeneration officer at Middlesbrough Council, said the review involved an assessment of community buildings in the suburb to see which could be turned into one-stop-shops providing as many services as possible under one roof.
But ward councillors requested that the views of influential residents are not sought in the early stages of the review.
“The bottom line is that these services will be cut and that’s a very difficult message for the people of Gresham to hear in a few months time, ” said Councillor Susan Carter.
“I am concerned about mismanaging people’s expectations.
“Do not go out to the public too early. Get as much information as you can before you go out to the residents groups.
Do not ask them what they want if you have no way of providing it.”
Councillor Ken Walker said five years of negative issues had greatly affected Gresham to the extent that it was now unrecognisible.
“I would ask this: if this is going to go ahead at this point in time, it would be folly at this early stage to include, if you like, key residents in Gresham, ” he said.
“It will send out a signal which will be totally negative – that the council cannot be trusted related to Gresham.
This will be seen simply as another consequence of things getting even worse.”
Reacting to the news, Linda Mole, chairwoman of the Gresham Community Council, said last night that residents were used to having their hopes raised and dashed.
She said: “If people heard about this, it would be like a red rag to a bull – it is a Catch 22 situation.
“I do think people have a right to know, but there would be merry hell on.
“This is people’s lives they are dealing with. Gresham is festering, but after five years people still don’t know what is happening to their homes.
They are very despondent.”
An “older housing areas” final report produced by the council’s economic regeneration and transport scrutiny panel revealed that the council did not have the money to acquire 1,500 homes.
“The mayor [Ray Mallon] stated that the overriding aim of significantly changing the housing offer had been right, but that it had been wrong to advance it without having the funding in place to carry it through, ” the report states.
“The mayor stated that he was sorry the previously agreed vision for Gresham could not be achieved in its original form and he had not meant for this to happen. The vision had been well intentioned.”
From employee communication to publicity, PR tactics

From employee communication to publicity,
PR tactics can be used to tell your story convincingly to key
publics.
- Refine Customer Service. Those who believe PR is about
one-way, top-down spin doctoring – I hope – are relics of the
past. Two-way PR, in which the company actually solicits and
listens to customer feedback, can provide the kind of edge
companies need today in this age of commoditization.
So, don’t be incredible. Make PR an integral part of your business strategy.

Market Wire, December, 2008
Ethos Environmental, Inc., a San Diego-based
company that manufactures fuel reformulators, (the “Company”) (OTCBB: ETEV)
is pleased to announce that the Company has received an order for the
purchase of our signature product, Ethos FR, from a township in Morris
County, New Jersey.
This particular township conducted extensive testing using Ethos FR on
township vehicles during the past few months. The test results revealed
that township vehicles using Ethos FR saved in excess of 12% on fuel
consumption and showed more than 32% decrease in emissions.
“The decision by this township to use Ethos FR provides yet another example
of the many benefits that may be expected by using our eco-conscious
product,” stated Corey P. Schlossmann, Chief Executive Officer of Ethos.
For additional information about the Company, please visit www.ethosfr.com .
About Ethos FR
Ethos FR is a non-toxic, non-hazardous fuel reformulator that works in any
internal combustion engine. Ethos FR contains two families of esters, a
group of cleaning esters and a group of lubricating esters in a mineral oil
base. It cleans and lubricates the internal parts of the engine without the
use of petroleum-derived products commonly found in fuel additives. The
main objective is to make fuels self-cleaning and self-lubricating without
increasing toxic emissions. Moving parts function more smoothly with
reduced heat and friction, requiring less maintenance. Horsepower returns
closer to the manufacturer specifications. Ethos FR removes carbon
deposits, one of the culprits that cause fuel to combust incompletely,
resulting in wasted fuel that creates toxic emissions. The combination of
cleaning and lubricating esters in Ethos FR stabilize the fuel without
changing its specifications.

I pick special places through out Our House to lay in the sun, take my afternoon nap, relax after dinner etc… Deal with it. Do not expect me to clean up my own hair. I cannot help it if I shed on your precious sofa, and I personally don’t really care if I leave a little bit of me behind on my Favorite places.
4) I do not want to have a new “sister” or “brother” ie: feline relative. If they came to live with you when I did that’s fine. If you’re trying to improve the quality of my life by giving me a new friend, Forget About It…

Bows make return as hair accessory
0 Comments | Tribune – Review / Pittsburgh Tribune – Review, Apr 1, 2010 | by JoAnne Klimovich Harrop
Put a bow on it.
This season, bows have returned as another way to accessorize an outfit.
Credit Lady GaGa with bringing back the bow trend, including her own “hair bow,” shown in the video “Poker Face,” says Suzanne Mauro, a stylist accredited by the Association of Image Consultants International.
“Anyone can wear bows,” says Hollie Velten, hair accessories buyer for Anthropologie. “Bow-trimmed headbands are perfect for short hair, scarf wraps tied in a bow look great with medium length hair, while for long hair, tiny bow trimmed clips and bobby pins are beautiful.”
Velten anticipates all kinds of bows this spring — floppy and messy for a “perfectly imperfect” look or small preppy bows that give more of a menswear feel.
Bows are being made in a variety of fabrics, such as denim, and prints, like batik. If worn properly, they can be appropriate for the office, too. Wearing them off-kilter gives a more chic look.
“Bows are a wonderful touch for work outfits,” says Velten. “We love juxtaposition. Try a classic, simple black bow in your hair to dress up casual denim or khakis. Give a preppy look an unexpected twist with bows made from colorful African ikat fabric.”
There are several styles created by Eugenia Kim available at Shopbop.com, from a ruffled bow barrette to a silk charmeuse headband with bow detail to a denim linen headband with bow.
More sophisticated fabrics such as satin or grosgrain are more appropriate for women’s bows, says Nordstrom fashion director Gregg Andrews. That makes the accessory appear more mature-looking. He suggests keeping your bows small and tailored.
With a bow, keep your hairstyle simple, too, Andrews says, for a more modern look.
“Solid colors and more neutral colors such as navy and black and gray and brown work best,” Andrews says. “You want to avoid colors such as pink and pale blues. And I wouldn’t suggest bows that are floppy or have trailing ends because that is too much like a schoolgirl look.”
If you are over 40 you may want to think twice about wearing a bow in your hair, says Hedy Gold, accessories director for Self.
“Bows today have a sort of ’50s influence,” Gold says. “A chic way to wear a bow is to tie it around a pony tail. I would suggest wearing bows with jeans and a man’s shirt to give it a more casual look. I think bows look too silly with a dress.”
How to wear a bow
Arnold Zegarelli, educational director and stylist for Izzazu International, offers these tips:
The size of the bow should be in proportion to the size of your face and head. If you have a larger head and face the bow can also be larger. If not, keep the bow smaller.
Placement of a bow is key. If you want it to be secondary place it near the back of your head. If you are looking to make more of a statement wear it closer to the front.
If you have bangs be sure and not choose too much bow because they can look too busy.
Choose colors that go well with your skin. For example, if you have olive skin, colors such as black, red and strong greens will look better.
